With the fly rods of the ARCANE series, JMC primarily caters to the demanding enthusiasts of classic fly fishing with dry flies and the nymphs and provides them with a modern and high-quality series of fly rods, which are a real pleasure when fly fishing, both in casting and when playing the fish.
No expense has been spared in the selection of materials and components for these rods, resulting in an absolutely high-quality series of the finest fly rods. The elegant dark grey blank of these fly rods consists of a highly modulated 40T/46T carbon fibre reinforced with nano resins. The resulting action can best be described as balanced and directly responsive as well as medium-fast to fast. This makes casting a real delight, as the responsive blank allows tight line loops, yet the rod is not a stiff broomstick and works beautifully right down to the hand section.
The quality level continues with the other components. The rod handle is made of the best full cork discs and is optimally adapted in shape to the respective model. The black anodised aluminium up-lock reel seat has an attractive cross-wrap pattern that emphasises the grain of the precious wood insert. Also of very high quality are the SIC titanium guide ring and the single leg running guides.
The entire ARCANE rod series consists of 7 models in different lengths and line classes and thus perfectly covers many fishing situations and different types of flowing water:
7'6 (228 cm) for line class #3 - 3-piece: ideal stream rod if you want to pursue trout and grayling on small and also heavily overgrown creeks. With its reduced length, it shows its strength on such waters where no extremely long casts are needed. Fittingly, the rod handle of this model has a compact cigar shape. This is the only model in the series that breaks down in 3 pieces.
8'6 (258 cm) for line class #4 - 4-piece: This model is predestined for fine and light fishing with dry flies and smaller nymphs.
9' (274 cm) for line class #5 (medium fast), for line class #5 (fast), for line class #6 (fast) - 4-piece: The 9-foot-long fly rods of this series are available in three different versions. For the line class #5, a model with medium-fast action and another model with fast action are available. In addition, a variant in this universal length is also available for line class #6, which is ideal for presenting heavier nymphs and streamers.
10' (305 cm) for line class #4, for line class #5 - 4-piece: The 10-foot models, on the other hand, are suitable for larger flowing waters, where greater casting distances and mending of larger amounts of line have to be managed. This fly rod model also has variants for different line classes: one for line class #4, which is to be preferred for fine and light fishing, as well as for line class #5, which is ideal if you fish want to fish dry flies as well as nymphs and light streamers.
All 9- and 10-foot models are equipped with a fine full wells handle.
All fly rods in the ARCANE series are supplied in a practical and grey Cordura rod tube with internal compartments.
