SOFT HARE DUBBING is a cottoned hare hair. This process, called backcombing, makes it particularly soft, similar to cotton, allowing you to easily create more or less compact strand to make bodies and thoraxes of dry flies, wet flies and nymphs. It is attached to the tying thread using classic wax and its ease of use makes it particularly suitable for even the most inexperienced fly tyers.
Remember that the more compact the dubbing strand is, the less water it will absorb, while the fluffier it is, the more water it will tend to absorb, which will affect the final weight of the fly. Consequently, for dry flies it is best to create fairly compact strand.
This dubbing is produced in Italy according to Hotfly specifications.
