ULTRALIGHT WADERS, IDEAL FOR HIKING

Have you ever fished in remote areas where you had to take a long and strenuous hike to reach the water? You've probably found that covering certain distances with conventional waders is quite exhausting and uncomfortable. In addition, there is always the risk of damaging them.

That's why Guideline has developed the ULBC (Ultra Light Back Country) waders, which take up very little space in your backpack, but still allow you to cross a river when you need to. Their ultra-thin design means you almost don't notice you're wearing them at all. At only 710 grams, they are also probably the lightest waders on the market. With these properties, ULBC waders are predestined for the situations just described and less for everyday fishing with a fly.

For the production of these waders, a 2.5-layer recycled nylon material was used for the chest and thigh area and a 3.5-layer recycled nylon material for the lower leg area, as experience has shown that this area is subject to more wear and tear. The upper part of the waders is also elasticated in two directions to increase fit and comfort. As always, Guideline is environmentally conscious and its ULBC waders are also fluorocarbon free.

Waterproofing is very good, around 25,000 mm (water column), and breathability is also excellent at around 8,000 g/m2/24h throughout the waders.

The Elevator™ braces of Guideline's ULBC waders are elasticated for maximum comfort and also allow the waders to be converted into waist-high waders in a few easy steps. This is very practical, especially on summer days when it can be very hot, and you want to fish a little breezier. The belt is also elasticated and adjustable, so you can customise the waders to suit optimally your body figure. There is an additional adjustment option so you can wear it either higher or lower.

These waders feature a large, removable, transparent and waterproof pocket located inside and chest high. You can store your smartphone in it, for example. This allows you to use it without the risk of it falling into the water.

The gravel guards are made of the same material as the waders, but are reinforced. At the bottom hem there is an elastic band with non-slip rubber and a metal hook for attaching to the laces of the wading boot. This combination provides maximum hold on the wading boot and effectively protect the neoprene socks from sand and dirt that could damage them.

The neoprene socks are comfortably cut and benefit from the Comfort Plus™ construction, which means they fit snugly and are therefore not too bulky in the wading boots. In addition, the neoprene socks are pre-shaped left/right for optimum fit and comfort.

The modern cut of the ULBC waders from Guideline has a really great fit and guarantees maximum freedom of movement thanks to the higher crotch and pre-shaped knees. This is especially important when it comes to walk difficult terrain, overcoming obstacles and wading through rivers.

The ULBC waders are supplied in a practical TPU carry bag (diameter 16 cm and length 35 cm).

This chart is only a guide to help you find the right size. The fit of fishing clothing does not only depend on your body size. It also depends on personal preference, how loose or tight you want them to be.
