The bobbin holder WOOD GRIP CERAMIC by Hotfly has a handle made of wood, which gives it a timelessly elegant look. Due to this handle, the bobbin holder also lies very well in the hand, so that fly tying with this tool is very comfortable. The conical shape of the handle also allows a very individual positioning of your fingers.
The thread tube has well-proportioned lining made of ceramic at both ends. This material has an enormous hardness and can thus withstand even the most modern and ultra-fine tying threads. These high-performance threads put a lot of strain on the material, especially when they are tied under tension. Even the smallest unevenness or sharp edges can roughen or cut the binding thread. This makes the bobbin holder unusable. These ceramic linings, instead, remain wonderfully smooth even after long use and thus do not damage your fly-tying thread.
The classically designed bobbin holder has two legs, at the lower ends of which are the cone-shaped holding points for the thread bobbins. Due to the flexible legs, this bobbin holder can hold all thread bobbins in standard width. You can easily adjust the pull-off resistance of the thread by bending the two wire legs slightly together (tighter) or apart (looser). This way you can adjust the bobbin holder to the yarn you are using and your tying habits.
