The cortland STREAMER SINK TIP 15 F/S is a concentrate of technology, and is designed specifically for streamer fishing. The WF (weight forward) profile has an unbalanced weight at the front of the line, in addition to the fact that the head of the line is further oversized, the combination of these two factors makes it very aggressive and allows you to make very long casts with exceptional precision even in strong winds. You can easily cast any type of streamer, from the heaviest to the lightest.
The added advantage of having an oversized head is that with this fly line you'll be able to load the rod very easily, minimizing false casts. This allows you to cast very far even if you have limited space behind you to extend your line, and also prevents it from becoming too heavy when trying to reach long distances.
The sinktip of the STREAMER SINK TIP 15 F/S is equipped with cortland's tungsten tip technology, which is able to sink your streamers immediately, with a sink rate of 6 inches per second (15cm per second). This makes it ideal for use in big rivers with deep water and strong currents.
The quality of cortland fly lines is very high and they have a soft outer coating that makes the line slide smoothly through the rod guides. The wear resistance is very good and as with the whole cortland line there is a buttonhole to simplify the connection to the fishing leader.
